A woman with shoulder-length brown hair and light skin, wearing a white suit, sitting on a wicker chair against a dark gray background, resting her chin on her hand and looking at the camera with a slight smile.

Elizabeth Geary is the founder at Geary Law, handling high-stakes trials and appeals throughout Texas and New Mexico. Elizabeth acts as lead trial counsel in multi-million dollar disputes across a wide range of areas, including business disputes, personal injury, intellectual property, energy, and estate disputes. She often assists trial attorneys with complex briefing, oral argument, and evidentiary hearings due to her experience and command of the courtroom. She is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law.

Elizabeth has the ability to determine case strategy and execute it through persuasive writing and a strong courtroom presence. She delivered her first appellate argument at the Texas Supreme Court after only one year of practice and has since appeared before numerous courts of appeals and the federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to appellate advocacy, she has served as lead trial counsel in courts throughout Texas and New Mexico.

Elizabeth has been named a Texas Super Lawyer since 2023 and was a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2017 to 2022. She received the 2024 Texas Young Lawyers Association President’s Award of Merit and the 2016 Texas Tech School of Law GOLD Award. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and is a past President of the Board of Directors for the Lubbock YWCA.

Elizabeth earned her J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law, graduating summa cum laude. She was a member of Law Review, received the Outstanding Student Comment award, and was named Outstanding Comment Editor. She was also a two-time National Champion in moot court, winning the ACTL and NYC Bar National Moot Court Competition. She earned multiple oral advocacy awards, including Best Oral Advocate at the Texas Young Lawyers Moot Court State Championship in 2012. She attained the rare recognition of election to both the National Order of the Coif and the National Order of the Barristers.
